Trustee: Treasurer

The Heather Club is looking for someone to take over the role of the Treasurer and to become a Trustee who can play a part in shaping the club’s future development.

The role of Trustee is voluntary.

It will provide a rewarding outlet for someone who would like to make a difference for people in our community living with memory loss and early stage dementia.

General responsibilities for Trustees:

  • To make sure that the organisation complies with its governing documents and charity law.

  • To ensure that the organisation pursues its objects as defined in its governing document

  • To ensure the organisation applies its resources exclusively in pursuance of its objects

  • To contribute actively to the board of trustees' role in giving firm strategic direction to the organisation, setting overall policy, defining goals and setting targets and evaluating performance against agreed targets

  • To safeguard the good name and values of the organisation

  • To ensure the financial stability of the organisation

Like all similar roles in The Heather Club this is an unpaid voluntary position, but it offers the chance to develop your teamworking skills, the opportunity to learn from and grow with a charity working for the good of the local community. It also provides a sense of achievement from working towards the longer- term vision of the Heather Club for the benefit of the local community.

There are up to 6 Trustee meetings and one AGM per year.

You will need to provide 2 references.

For an informal chat please contact Michael Rowan (Chair) on 07956 026094.
